Dive into a world where the sun has vanished from the skies and darkness rules the earth. Where creatures emerged from the shadows and only the bravest adventurers dare to leave the safe lights of the city to gather what’s left from humanity’s former self.
"Schattenwelt" or Shadow World is a pen and paper inspired game that is based on a board game I developed several years ago. Create and manage a party of up to four characters, collect items and resources, earn experience and master skills to explore the mysteries of this world and see what it hides behind its shadows.
This demo is a proof of concept to see if the idea is worth developing, so feedback is highly appreciated! All texts were written in German first. I tried my best to make a full English translation, but I recommend using the original language if suitable.

Install instructions
1. Unzip file
2. Open "Schattenwelt" folder
3. Execute "Schattenwelt.exe"

Looks fascinating. I do a series every Friday where I stream new Itch.IO games on Twitch and give impressions. I think I'd love to start with yours, would be super cool to do. Let me know if you want more information. The stream is US-EAST based, so 7:30, which might be late if you're in Germany, but the VOD will be up as soon as it's over.
From what I can see, the screenshots look great. The minimalist style combined with the handdrawn portraits look awesome, and I love the concept of the Shadow World.
